In this review, I will talk about 7 clinically proven ways based on real medical research on exactly how to make the penis bigger, with pros and cons, AND show you the actual number of inches increased for each method.

Method 1. Vacuum pumps: __ inches longer?
Can vacuum pumps increase your penis size?
Vacuum pumps uses suction to force blood from your arteries into your penis.
So some of you might have seen ads for these on porn sites. According to the ads, just a few minutes and your penis becomes much bigger! But wait! Is that really true?
Good thing researchers actually did a study on this! According to a 2006 study with 37 men published in the BJU International, they tried the vacuum pump for 20 minutes each time at 3 times a week for 6 months. The result? Only 30% were satisfied, AND the mean increase was only 0.1 inches (0.3 cm).
So it does work. Just not very well at all. But, its pro is that it is non-invasive.
Surgical Methods.
The next 4 methods are surgical. However, there are huge risks with surgery: for example, infection, strictures (where it’s hard to pee), and even clots leading to complete loss of your penis. So, surgery is really not something to jump into lightly.
So, two kinds of penile surgery exist. The first kind is to make the penis look longer. The second is to actually make it longer.
Method 2. Lipoplasty: __ inches longer?
Does lipoplasty make your penis look bigger?
For making the penis look longer, the easiest way is lipoplasty, where you cut out the extra skin and fat under the pubic hair area. So, for someone who is obese, lipoplasty will certainly make the penis look bigger. I have not found numbers on exactly how much bigger.
Method 3. Suspensory ligament release: __ inches longer?
How many inches longer can the penis become with suspensory ligament release?
This method is where you cut the ligament holding the base of the penis in place so that when the penis is not erect, it droops down more. And, when it is erect, it can move up more, giving the illusion of a longer penis.
So how much longer can your penis get with a ligament release? There are several variations.
Results. According to this 2019 study with 355 cases where they cut the ligament and also did a V-Y plasty, after 6 months the penis at rest increased on average 1.06 inches (2.7 cm), and the erect penis increased 0.51 inches (1.3 cm)
As a comparison, in this 2022 study with 245 cases, where they cut the ligament then implanted a spacer there, between 6-48 months afterwards the penis at rest increased on average 0.98 inches (2.5 cm), and the stretched penis increased 0.75 inches (1.9 cm)
So if you want the illusion of looking bigger, the ligament release method will do it, especially when the penis is not erect. And, it is a relatively easier surgery. But, the problem with the ligament release method is that the penis is not stable, which might make it hard to use during sex.
Major surgical techniques
The next two methods actually make the penis itself longer. But, the risks are extremely high. Some patients even had major clots that lead to total loss of their penis.
Method 4. Penile disassembly: __ inches longer?
How much longer can the penis become with the penile disassembly method?
With this, you basically take apart the penis, put a section of your rib cartilage in the front part of the penis, then assemble it together again.
An analysis in 2000 of 19 patients showed an average increase of 0.79-1.57 inches (2-4 cm). So it does work. But, this is major surgery, with very high risks involved.
Method 5. Total phalloplasty: __ inches bigger?
Can total phalloplasty create the big penis that you want?
For total phalloplasty, aka Radial artery forearm free flap, or RAFFF, you pretty much build up a new penis using an artificial penis implant. This is the most intensive surgical method with the highest risks. Most transgender operations use this method, so I assume it works. I cant find a big study with published penile length results for this though.
Method 6. Penis filler injections: __ inches thicker?
How much thicker can fillers like hyaluronic acid (Restylane) increase your penis?
Along with a longer penis, many men also want a thicker one, otherwise the penis may look too skinny.
So to make it thicker, many types of fillers can be used to inject into the fascial layer (the thick band tying your penis together). You have: hyaluronic acid (HA, branded: Restylane Sub-Q), your own fat, poly lactic acid (PLLA, branded: Sculptra), or polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA).
According to a 2011 study, after injection of hyaluronic acid the penile circumference increased on average 1.49 inches (3.78 cm) and maintained this thickness for at least 18 months.
So fillers definitely can make your penis thicker. And of all the fillers, hyaluronic acid has one of the highest satisfaction rates, with least reported complications of tissue death, scarring, pain, and nodules. But, there have been some reports of injection into penile arteries causing clots. And, you might have to mold the shape of the penis once in a while because the filler might accumulate in the wrong areas.
Method 7. Traction devices: __ inches longer?
How many inches longer can your penis become after using a traction device?
A traction device uses two rings to stretch the penis: one clamps around the base of the penis and the other clamps around just below the penis head, and then the device pulls the rings apart.
According to this 2018 study with 93 men who has Peyronie’s disease, a traction device was used for 3-8 hr/day for 12 weeks. They found that the mean increase in stretched penis length is 0.7 inches (1.8 cm), with only mild side effects such as numbness in the penis head.
(Peyronie’s disease is when your penis has scar tissue making it extremely curved and possibly shorter).
So traction devices work very nicely. With an average penile length increase of 0.7 inches, it competes very well with surgical methods. But, you don’t have the risks of surgery because it is non-invasive. However, the con is that you have to spend hours every day using it.
Conclusion.
So let’s look at the score card. If you take the a risk benefit perspective, the clear winner for making the penis longer is the traction device. And for making the penis thicker, the winner is penis injection with hyaluronic acid.
